Celebrate Memorial Day with Red, White, and Blue Snow Cone Cupcakes [Weekend DIY Project]

By May 25, 2012No Comments

Contrary to what the calendar might say, summer has arrived in south Texas. Listening to the weather on the radio only serves to remind a soul just how hot Houston can get . . . even in May.

But with the heat comes beautiful days of sunshine. And for that, I’m extremely grateful.

Nothing screams summer more than snow-cones. If you’ve never had one of these adorable and delectable delights, you are truly missing out! Yes, it’s hardly healthy (it’s basically sugar water), but they are wonderful!

Snow Cone Cupcakes

When I saw these adorable snow cone CUPCAKES on my favorite baking blog, Bakerella, I knew we had to share them with our friends at DP! Not only are they cute, but they are perfect for the upcoming Memorial Day! So, take some time over this long weekend and make a batch of these.

Also, be sure to take a few moments to reflect with gratitude on those who have sacrificed so much that each of us might live free.

Happy Memorial Day!
