How to Make Your Emails More Personal

Between the three of us, we send a lot of emails at DuoParadigms. While we appreciate the convenience of emailing, it is always good to keep in mind that emails still need to have a personal touch.

I came across an interesting article from Inc.com that has some helpful tips on how to use email successfully for your business. This little tidbit at the end is something many people fail to remember:

One last tip for those of you who are determined to use email as your primary communication tool: When you write an email, please start with a friendly greeting such as Hi, Dear, G’day, Bonjour (even Yo! if that’s your thing). Please, please don’t start with someone’s name and a comma. It’s curt, it’s lazy, and it’s unnecessarily cold. It’s a pet peeve of mine, and the upside is so worth it.
